5 Major Benefits of Drinking Water

“Drink more water!”

That is a phrase I used to hear all the time and something I have overheard being said countless times. Even in my current day to day, now that I have a side job helping out at a wellness center, it’s a phrase that I have become very used to hearing.

It always amazes me how much the term “drink more water” is said and yet, it’s something that people so easily forget or pass on, but in fact, drinking water everyday can really, and I mean really benefit your health as a whole. At first, beginning to drink more water or incorporating more water into your everyday routine can feel like a chore but only now that I have become a water junkie, I can attest that it is totally worth it, and what you gain from every sip of that water is huge.

I was like most before. Almost forcing myself to drink more water and actually just hating it. Finishing a tall glass of water was a difficult task unless I was working out or being active and I was always reaching for another beverage rather than something that really fueled me and really quenched my thirst.

I always found an excuse to not drink enough water but after realizing the benefits of water and training myself (yes, training myself) to drink more water, I’m finding new ways to enjoy it – even if that means pretty packaging.

I’ve been a fan of Boxed Water for a while now and really, it was one of those brands that got me drinking more. Boxed Water is a socially conscious packaged-water company that is re-thinking the way water is sold, shipped and consumed, so you aren’t just “drinking water” but Boxed Water is triple filtered for purity and 100% BPA and phthalate free so the water you are drinking is crisp and tasty.

On a side note: If anyone says that water doesn’t have a taste, they are crazy, because it does and I really love the taste of Boxed Water which is why I carry it everywhere I go.

Another reason why I’ve become devoted to Boxed Water is the brands devotion to their “Waste Less, Do More and Live Well” business model. With 74% of the box made from paper that comes from well-managed forests, the Boxed Water not only tastes great without that plastic –like taste but it is environmentally friendly and consciously packaged. As a member of 1% For the Planet, Boxed Water also commits at least one percent of our total sales annually to reforestation! Talk about a brand that really thinks about the environment AND its customers.

Now, I can say that I love water. Actually crave it in fact and even if it is just going to the mall to hang with friends, have lunch on a patio or just while at home working, I now always have water right beside me or in my purse. While our bodies are made up of roughly 60% water, it’s crazy to think that so many of us don’t see the value in drinking water and what it can do for our bodies. That’s why I’m happy to share the 5 major benefits of drinking water and I hope it will encourage you to pour a tall glass of cold water for yourself!
