8 Ways to Keep Your Teeth Looking Great

If you want to have great looking teeth and keep them looking that way, you need to make sure you take care of them. In this post we’re going to discuss 8 of the best ways to keep your teeth looking great.

1: Brush at Least Twice a Day

Brush your teeth at least twice a day, but remember brushing them too often and too hard can get rid of the enamel on your teeth. The enamel is the stuff that protects the teeth, and it doesn’t come back once it’s gone. Make sure you brush twice a day, up to three times but no more.

2: Use an Electric Toothbrush

By using an electric toothbrush, you can get rid of most of the hard work that comes with brushing your teeth. All you need to do is move the brush around your mouth and let it do its thing. Keep it charged up with a fresh head on for the best results. You may bleed a little when you first start using, but it’s normal. It’s constant bleeding that you need to worry about.

3: Floss

Flossing gets rid of anything stuck in between the teeth, and can help to freshen breath. If we don’t floss, old food can get stuck there and cause the teeth to rot. You’d be surprised at what can hide in between our teeth!

4: Use Mouthwash

Mouthwash helps to get rid of bacteria in the mouth and freshen breath. If you want to finish off your brushing routine properly, then you need to use mouthwash. Make sure it’s a good brand like Listerine for the best results.

5: Whiten

If you want your teeth to look good, then they’ve got to be white. Consider whitening them occasionally with a good product. There are many great home whitening products on the market these days, so do your research and decide which is the best for you. There’s no need to spend hundreds at a dentist to get white teeth any more! This is one of my favourite things to include in my beauty routine!

6: Treat Them Carefully

Treat your teeth like fragile objects – that’s what they are, after all! Don’t use them as tools by opening bottles and other gross things. You don’t want to end up with cracked, gross teeth!

7: Avoid Food and Drink that Can Stain

Food and drink can stain teeth, and the more you consume them the worse your teeth will get. Food that’s bad for the teeth includes confectionary, and drinks such as red wine and tea can damage them too. Limit these foods so you don’t have a lot of repairing to do down the line!

8: Avoid Food That Can Rot the Teeth

Foods like sugary sweets can rot the teeth if you eat too many of them. In fact, our teeth can begin to feel sensitive after too much sugar, which is a sign we should stop eating it! It’s especially important that kids learn too much sugar can be bad for them. Taking them to a dentists like NC pediatric dentistry can be good for them, as they’ll learn more about taking care of their teeth for themselves.

Now show off your gorgeous teeth!
