Celebrating Lancôme’s 80 Years of Beauty

Eight decades of beautifying, innovating, and perfecting the essence of being a woman. That’s why we’re celebrating Lancôme’s 80 years of beauty! Originally founded as a fragrance house on February 20, 1935 by Armand Petitjean, the luxury brand quickly expanded. That same year, Lancôme launched its first five perfumes at the World’s Fair in Brussels: Tendre Nuit, Bocages, Conquete, Kypre and Tropiques. Now it is famous for countless other fragrances, skincare products, and makeup. Lancôme is all about beauty and happiness. Françoise Lehmann, Lancôme’s General Manager, puts it perfectly:

Above all, we wanted this celebration to be a moment of joy. Because – for Lancôme – beauty goes hand in hand with happiness. So it’s a birthday in the form of a celebration, which each month will reaffirm the brand’s greatest ambition: making women’s lives more beautiful with Lancôme!

The birthday celebration will start February 20th with a first for the brand: a film. Beauty in motion is really as good as it gets. In March a coffee-table book, published by Editions du Regard, will be released. We’re huge fans of these types of books. They’re great finishing touches for any space. Also, because Lancôme honours International Women’s Day annually, the book will be available at select Lancôme counters on March 8th. Lancôme’s love for girl power is the drive behind what the brand does. They understand  that making products to make women feel beautiful and happy isn’t enough. To go the extra step to make women feel good, on the inside, is what makes a beauty brand rise above the rest,

We think that Lily Collins has a clear definition of what Lancôme really means.

“Lancôme is class, elegance, grace, but also beauty that comes from within.” – Lily Collins
