We can’t even begin to express our obsession with incorporating plants in our home. Whether it be flowers, succulents, cacti or anything green, we just keep visiting our favourite markets for new greenery to liven our space.

Currently, we are fascinated by fig leaf plants and the charming character it adds to a room. Specifically, a fiddle fig leaf tree is what we are presently coveting with its large leaf petals and its ability to grow into an eye-catching focal point of any room in your home – indoor or outdoor! The best part about the fiddle fig leaf plant is that it is incredibly easy to take care of, so even for those who think that they’ll kill any living plant at home, you are in luck with this one! All you have to do is follow these few points and you’ll have your baby growing taller than you ever thought!

• Give your plant plenty of indirect sunlight- that means not in the direct sunlight, but don’t put it in a corner that never gets the sun
• The fiddle fig leaf plant only needs to be watered once a week or longer ( Always water when the soil is dry to touch)
• Keep in warm room temperatures (60 to 90 degrees F)
• Keep away from vents, drafts or drifts
• This may sound odd, but try to keep the plant in the same spot, but be sure to turn around so all sides can get a different view of light. These plants don’t do well when they are moved a lot.
• Big leafy plants like the fiddle fig leaf looks its best when it is fresh of dust which can have it looking dull. We like to use coconut oil on a paper towel and gently wipe clean to give it a fresh and shiny
