May Beauty Favourites

May Beauty Favourites

DSC08001

I have to admit that I have been seriouslyyyy slacking on my monthly beauty favourites, but sometimes, the time just slips away and each month I tell myself “woah it’s (Insert month here) already?”

The truth is though that there are loads and loads of beauty products that I am dying to share, as I mentioned before here, so I will definitely be sharing more beauty here on the blog! And this month, while I wanted to mention about 10 products, I narrowed it down to a simple four that I have been loving lately. With a serious breakout on my face earlier this month and just generally feeling a little “blah” lately, these four products have definitely been helping me feel a little bit more sassy.

OUAI Hair Oil

I remember first hearing all about the Ouai brand and I just thought it was all hype because Jen Atkin knows the Kardashians and blah blah blah, but I caved and thought I would see what all the hype is about for myself. Not only is the Texturizing Spray my new bff, but this hair oil is giving my locks life right now. First of all, let me mention how beautiful this oil smells – like, amazing and easily one of my favourite smells from a product ever! Secondly, this oil works perfectly in my hair. After years of colouring, I found that my ends were incredibly dry but my roots would oil up in no time, so I used to stay away from oils, but this oil controls my frizzy ends while nourishing without it looking too oily. The Hair Oil also protects color from fading so now as I (very carefully) go a little lighter for the summer, I love having this to keep my locks the perfect shade.

Moral of the story – (sometimes) believe the hype!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY Luminous Modern-Matte Long Lasting Lipstick

I won’t include too much information here, because you guys know I love my lipstick, but Charlotte Tilbury’s Royal Lippy Shade is my new jam for spring. Appropriately named, The Queen offers a  rich and rosy crown-jewel pink lipstick in homage to Her Majesty, Elizabeth II.

With fuller lips being a big trend nowadays, I love that Charlotte’s Matte Revolution creates the illusion of fuller, wider lips without the injections. The fuchsia shade is also a stunner!

GIVENCHY Healthy Glow Powder (Floral Edition)

Let’s be real – how gorgeous is this floral glow powder?! I love my Givenchy beauty, but I have to be honest and say that I am in love with this glow powder so much mainly because of the floral print. I religiously use my glow powder and love it, but this is on a different level. I almost didn’t use it because it’s so gorgeous, but it’s the perfect beauty accessory to have in your collection. The light and creamy texture works great over my foundation but I hope to use it on my vacation just by itself!

BEAUTYCOUNTER Beautycounter + No 2 Plumping Facial Mask

I have a few Beautycounter products that I swear by, so when I was given a few of their products from the Beautycounter+ line, I had to give it a go. I’ve been applying the Plumping + Peony Facial Mask 2-3 for the last three weeks and I have loved the results. My skin was just looking so “blah” lately but after applying this mask each week, I’m finding that my skin appears firmer due to the plumping peony root which aims to restore skin’s elasticity, while konjac root helps smooths the appearance of fine lines!

Fingers crossed that I can start aging like JLo!
