Minute Maid Makes Summer Tasty

There’s nothing like sipping on a tasty cocktail in your backyard, balcony or deck when the nice weather hits, so just in time for the beautiful weather, Minute Maid has collaborated with the experts at Canadian Living’s test kitchen to make summer entertaining that much tastier with their signature summer recipes and get-the-party started tips.

Here are a couple of homemade cocktail recipes using Minute Maid juices and Bacardi Rum for tips you can try out which will help you and your guests escape the heat wave while having some fun!

 

It’s funny how I used to hate strawberries, but as of recently, I am obsessed! The second I had the ingredients in my hand, I made the Pretty in Pink Punch, and was it ever tasty! I have already made plans for a girls night and plan to make this fruity drink. I added a few slices of strawberry to my drink because I like to act as if I’m a little Susie Homemaker and so Martha Stewart. It’s an easy make and perfect for summer time!

Pretty in Pink Punch

Ingredients
1 can 295mL Minute Maid® Pink Lemonade frozen concentrate (unthawed)
1 can 250mL BACARDI® Mixers Strawberry Daiquiri frozen concentrate (unthawed)
1 cup BACARDI® Superior white rum (optional)
1 cup Water
4 cups Ice cubes

Directions
In blender, combine pink lemonade and daiquiri frozen concentrates, rum (optional) and water; add ice cubes. Pulse until blended and frothy, about one minute.

SUMMER FUN TIP: Float raspberries or sliced strawberries on the surface for an extra-special touch.

 

This past weekend  I made this Lime in the Coconut Cocktail for my Mom, and she said it was amazing. She told me she could imagine the beach in front of her as if on vacation without getting on a plane. From Trinidad, she’s a huge coconut fan as well, so I was not shocked when she fell head over heels for this drink.

Lime in the Coconut Cocktail

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups Coconut milk
1 can 250mL BACARDI® Mixers Margarita frozen concentrate (unthawed)
1 cup BACARDI® Superior white rum (optional)
4 cups Ice cubes

Directions
In blender combine coconut milk, margarita frozen concentrate and rum (optional); add ice cubes. Pulse until blended and frothy, about 1 minute.

SUMMER FUN TIP: Pour Minute Maid® Limeade frozen concentrate (thawed) into ice cube trays and freeze till frozen to make Limeade ice cubes.
