Gluten free for a week?

Yup, that’s right, and I am actually excited to kick off this week!

As I’ve mentioned on the blog earlier this year, I have become more conscious of what goes in my body and how I treat it, but of course, without obsessing over it. I am also working towards trying new things and I’ve been really listening to what my body is saying, which is why I am especially excited to start this week-long journey. Aside from the fact that I am challenging myself to go gluten free for the week, May also happens to be Celiac Awareness Month, so this challenge really couldn’t come at a better time so I can really put myself in the shoes of those who have Celiac Disease.

Did you know that more than 330,000 Canadians (about 1 in 100) are affected by Celiac disease? That’s a huge number and I had no idea!

When thinking of those who are diagnosed with the disease, I immediately imagine how difficult it can be at times for themselves and their family to enjoy delicious gluten free options. This is why I decided to partner with Barilla, whose pasta I absolutely love as seen here and here, and show you guys what recipes I love and if gluten free really tastes different! Hint: After trying this simple spaghetti dish, it doesn’t and is just as delicious as their traditional pasta products.
