Nespresso x Craig & Karl Limited Edition Holiday Capsule Collection

Just over a week ago, I was invited by Nespresso as one of their Coffee Connoisseur Club Members to try out their latest Holiday capsule collection in collaboration with designers, Craig & Karl.

Inspired by classic Holiday confectionary, the Nespresso Limited Edition Variations Confetto coffees and espressos offer 3 OriginalLine flavours: Snowball, Liquorize and Orangette and 3 VertuoLine flavours: Cherry, Peppermint Cane and Banana. While indulging at the event, I especially fell in love with the delicious coconut and vanilla infused Snowball and the oh-so-festive and sweet Peppermint Cane. Not only are the festive flavours tasty on their own as a cappucinno or a simple and delicious coffee, but also this is your chance to have fun creating a little coffee cocktail.

When entertaining this season, I’m excited to incorporate Nespresso and a few festive touches like candy cane, sprinkles and biscuits!

This years Holiday flavours are paired perfectly with the design and illustrations from the duo Craig & Karl. Whether you are familiar with the super creative duo, Craig Redman & Karl Maier or do not recall, there is no doubt that you have seen their bold works of art alongside their inspirational roster of collaborations with Google, Nike, Apple and Vogue to only name a few.

Though vibrant and eyecatching, Craig & Karl’s designs were seamlessly integrated into the new collection with their bold designs while still holding onto Nespresso’s classic and traditional branding. During my intimate interview with the duo, we discussed how important it is for them to keep their works integrity while collaborating with such a specific aesthetic like Nespresso’s.

I have to say that the most amazing thing, and what I find makes them so interesting is the fact that this duo works on opposite ends of the world. With Craig living in New York and Karl residing in London, it is so inspiring that two friends who grew up and attended University together are able to share their creativity and ideas while living so far away from each other.

And while distance could affect any relationship, the two designers expressed how much their strong relationship and complimentary skills made for an impeccable partnership. As both Craig & Karl expressed, the best way to keep their inspiration alive is to sometimes step away from the work, and enjoy simple pleasures like catching up on Netflix shows like Mindhunter and attending museum exhibits to help reflect and reignite their imagination.
