Quit Your Bad Habits

Take a long hard look at yourself and your bad habits. Is there anything you could change? Smoking will age your skin years in advance, so you should do yourself a favour and quit that right now. If you like a drink, make sure you’re not drinking to excess. Everything in moderation when it comes to alcohol.

Get Plenty of Sleep (But Not Too Much)

Plenty of sleep is important for vibrant looking skin, but getting too much can be just as bad as getting too little. Any more than 8 hours and you’ll feel sleepier throughout the day. Try to find the right balance by going to bed at the same time each night and getting up at the same time each morning.

Visit the Spa

Visiting a spa occasionally will be beneficial to you for a number of reasons. It’ll help you to eliminate stress, which can help us to look younger almost straight away! You can also choose a few nice treatments to have, such as facials and microdermabrasion. Have a consultation at a medical spa to see which type of treatment would be best for you.

Be Consistent With a Skincare Routine

You must be consistent with a skincare routine to see any results at all. If you’re sporadic with your routine, then you won’t see good results no matter how amazing the products are that you’ve bought. Practice your skincare routine day and night and only use products suited to your skin. It might take a little while to find the perfect products, but it’ll be worth it.

Eat Well and Exercise

Yep, this is probably what you’d call ‘the hard part’. I promise you though, it’s worth it. I shouldn’t have to list the benefits of eating right and exercising, but I will:

  • You’ll feel better.
  • You’ll lose excess weight.
  • You’ll find weight easier to maintain.
  • You’ll keep yourself healthy into old age.
  • You’ll begin to love yourself.
  • You’ll live longer.
  • You’ll sleep better.
  • You’ll look younger.

There are many more benefits too, but do you really need more convincing?

Eliminate Stress

Try to eliminate as much stress as possible from your life. Learn to live in the moment rather than the past and future. Breathe deeply when you’re feeling stressed. Meditate. You’ll look so much better just because you feel better. Your skin can get stressed when you feel stressed, so start helping yourself to live life stress free.

Makeup Techniques

As well as all of the above, some clever makeup techniques with the right products can help. Some makeup techniques can make you look older, such as heavy eye makeup, so avoid things like that!
