Raising Awareness for World Cancer Day with the #NoHairSelfie

February 4th, marks World Cancer Day and for the cause, the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation has introduced their first-ever global digital fundraising campaign in support of World Cancer Day.

Rather than my typical selfie, I’ve switched things up and joined their #NoHairSelfie movement to share my support for the special cause. Whether you personally have a loved one who has battled a form of cancer or not, it is an important cause that each of us can relate to in some way.

Choosing to take part in this initiative is a new brainer! This year alone, 15 million people were diagnosed with cancer worldwide and in only 15 years (2030), the number will skyrocket to 22 million, so I didn’t hesitate to show my support! That’s an increase of 54%. By participating in the #NoHairSelfie campaign with me, you will help increase awareness and funds you raise will go directly to critical research and help increase the chance of survivorship.

I went for the #NoHairSelfie AND the #NoMakeupSelfie! Try the app here and take a selfie to contribute to an important cause!
