Simple ‘Catch All’ Dish DIY

Dish6

A busy Girl of T.O has a long list of essential items to get her through the day, but lip-gloss, cell phones, car keys and everyday items seem to be the first things to disappear when you’re in a rush. It’s much easier to run late when you spend an extra 15 minutes searching every nook and cranny for your watch!

Organization is the key to minimizing your daily routine. A beautiful ‘catch all’ dish can be pricey, so why not get your creative juices flowing and make something unique that suits your taste.

Create a customizable Catch All dish with this simple DIY.  All you need to get started is:

Dish1

  • Two plates (one large and one small- I got mine at the dollar store)
  • A fun candle stick holder or wine glass
  • Strong adhesive (The stronger the better!)
  • Spray paint in your favourite shade- I opted for a pretty blue colour that reminds me of Tiffany & Co because who doesn’t love a daily reminder of the World of Tiffany?
  • Drop cloth- it’s more fun if you are free to get a little messy

Step 1: Start from the top (sorry Drake). Glue the smaller plate to the top of the candle stick/wine glass. Allow this to dry thoroughly before moving to the next step.

Step 2: Glue the bottom of the candle stick/ wine glass to the middle of the larger plate. If you’re feeling bold, try to add even more tiers!

Step 3: Paint! Choose a pattern, an interesting texture, or a solid colour.  You’re going to want to do this in a well-ventilated area!

Step 4: Simplify your life by storing all your must-haves in one place! VOILA!

What’s your favourite way to keep your a.m. routine simple?

Happy crafting!
