Does finding creative stocking stuffers have you stressed this holiday season? Fear not! This simple DIY is Secret Santa and stocking stuffer GOLD.

Nothing warms the soul quite like a cup of tea or hot chocolate on a cold winter day.  Why not make this seasonal pleasure a little more special with personalized mugs for your friends and family?

All you need for this mug are:

  • Sharpie  (Oil based works best- your can find these at most craft stores)
  • Ceramic mug
  • Alphabet stickers
  • An oven

Step 1:

Clean and dry your mug and lightly position your stickers in whichever shape you like. Don’t worry about finding pretty stickers; these are only being used as a stencil. I’m loving the monogrammed look *spoiler alert* so most of my DIY gifts this year will have this incorporated somehow.

Step 2:

Use your sharpie and get your creative juices flowing. I used a pointillism technique to make a pattern around the letters, but you can write a quote, draw a picture or any design that your heart desires.

Step 3:

After letting your work of art dry, gently peel off your stickers. Place the mug in the oven at 300 degrees for 35 minutes. For a lasting result, baking slow and low is the secret!

Step 4:

Let your mug cool and wash once more to test that your ink has stayed put. Wrap with care and brighten the day of your loved one.

What kind of designs will you make?
