If you follow along on my Instagram, than you would have seen that I have recently taken on the #PurifierChallenge with my friends at Dyson.

But, what does that even mean?

I just recently found out that each day we take 20,000 breaths, but what most people don’t know is that indoor air pollution can be up to five times worse than outside. I really had no idea of this fact, so when approached by Dyson to join in on this challenge, the smart answer was definitely yes.

Also, since vowing this year to try my best to improve my general health and well being and once hearing of these pollution facts, I was immediately drawn to the idea and knew that it would be a great way to  improve the quality of the air the boyfriend and I breathe at home.

Now that it has been some time since welcoming the Dyson Hot+Cold Link into our home – specifically the bedroom, I can already feel how much the air and circulation has improved. With its 360˚ Glass HEPA filter, it captures 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen and allergens, bacteria, dust and mould spores, pet dander and potentially harmful ultrafine particles, trapping them in the filter and eliminating them from the air you breathe. So while we don’t have any pets, I always used to feel a little tightness and dryness in the air in our condo and the bedroom specifically, but since using the Dyson Hot+Cold Link, I’m having a better sleep and a better morning.

The best part is that not only does it purify the air, but you have the best of both worlds, allowing you to   have heat in the cold Canadian winter, but also the option for a cool setting when the summer weather gets too hot to handle. I also always sleep with some cool air on which has been perfect while the Dyson purifies the air while I sleep!

Making things convenient and efficient, the Dyson Link also automatically maintains the air quality in your home and reports the indoor and outdoor air quality metrics to the Dyson Link App on your smartphone so you are always in the know. And just when you think this device is just used for a few features, the Dyson Link even captures smells, so even when you are painting your home, the device offers an activated carbon layer in the filter which captures odours and potentially harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs), like paint fumes!

Not to mention the remote is super handy when you are in bed and need to change the setting!

I hope you will join me on this #PurifierChallenge with Dyson, because what’s more important than the air you breathe?

From June 30 – July 28, Canadians can take part in the Dyson Purifier Challenge, and those who purchase a Dyson Air Purifier will receive a free filter replacement (valued at $99.99) before six months of usage!
