The Best Doughnuts in Toronto

The Best Doughnuts in Toronto

Do you call them donuts or doughnuts? Regardless of how you wanna spell it, donuts are my jam. If I could be completely embarrassing, my nickname as a child with my family was Donut Queen (while my brother used to be called the Pop Machine), so that just goes to show just how much love I have for this tasty treat! While spots are always popping up and offering delicious donuts and of course we can’t forget about Tim Hortons, I have put together a list of my go-to donut spots in Toronto.

COPS Toronto

I’m starting with this spot because it is honestly my current favourite! It’s a new spot that has opened up in Toronto and I really thought it was just going to be the “new instagrammable spot in Toronto” but after picking up the doughnuts to be used as a prop, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were! These small batch mini doughnuts are just as tasty as they are cute and if 12 is too much of an indulge for you, then it comes in a cute set of 6 also. The 12 that the fiance and I picked up featured 6 simple cinnamon + sugar tossed and then the other 6 had an almond drizzle on it. The best part is that they are made from scratch daily! K, I need more NOW!

Jelly Modern Doughnuts

If it’s not Cops, then it’s Jelly Modern for me! I’ve been obsessed with their doughnuts for years and have even picked up Jelly Modern for my birthday for the last 3 years! Not only do they make the most delicious, soft and moist (yes I hate that word too) doughnuts, but they do a great job at customizing orders for their customers. I’ve always loved popping into JM for holidays like Valentine’s Day and Thanksgiving, because they really go festive for the occasion!

Glory Hole Doughnuts

The first time I ever tried Glory Hole is at a wedding. A friend of mine had their doughnuts instead of the traditional wedding cake and they were so good! Known for their outgradeous flavours and combinations, GH also features yeast, cake and vegan donuts, and I love it! This is most definitely the spot to indulge in fun flavours like Milk n’ Cookies, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Hibiscus Rose and more!

Rolling Pin Doughnuts

Another spot that I tried through a friends wedding! The Rolling Pin doughnuts are on another level and if their flavours like Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake, Coffee Crisp Caramel and Brown Butter Baci doesn’t excite you, then you’ll enjoy their syringes filled with jelly that is inserted into some of their doughnuts! Not only does Rolling Pin do doughnuts so so well, but they also do cakes, cupcakes and all the yummy treats your heart desires!

Now, where’s the coffee at to go with these doughnuts!?
