My Wedding Mood Board & First Thoughts

We’ve been engaged since August, but to be honest, it’s only now that we have truly begun discussing and planning the big day. Both Stuart and I are in absolutely no rush and we really want to take our time, and since we’ve already been together 10 years and I am so deeply in love with him, I don’t need to feel rushed or be suckered into feeling like we are on some type of timeline!

With that being said, we have already decided that we will be getting married in 2019 instead of this year, and we are currently looking at venues to say “I do” to. We also want to enjoy “us time” this year and that can’t be done while planning a wedding in 9 ish months.

And while we are still in the beginning stages, I do know what I want and there is no doubt about that. We are having an intimate gathering of no more than 100 attendees, but we are focusing on a more intimate setting with my particular aesthetic in mind! We all know how much I love flowers, so of course that will be where i splurge and I do want to feature more custom items than feeling like I’m replicating someone else’s wedding.

And though I have yet to share details on the engagement as well as my custom ring and a little Q & A Stuart and I are working on, I constantly get questions about the “look” of my wedding, so I wanted to go ahead and share it!

Attendees: 100 max of our closest friends & family 

Description: Intimate, Whimsicle, Romantic, Natural

Season: Anytime except Summer (lol because I refuse to be sweating on my big day)

Setting: Our Church + Hotel or Restaurant 

Colours Scheme: Gold details, nudes, earthy tones, whites, cream & greens

Florals: Whites, creams & loads of greenery 

Style: Hers – whimsical & texture / His – A sharp tux (possibly green)

Beauty: Classic & romantic makeup & hair
