ZARA Home S/S 2014 Resort Chic Collection

Adding a bit of colour to this gloomy winter weather, Girls of T.O. got  a sneak peek at ZARA Home‘s 2014 Spring/Summer Collection and it is sure to brighten up your day.

Taking a page right out of any vacation, this resort-chic line of bright and bold colours is a breath of fresh air this time of year, and the whimsical touches are bound to put a smile on your face.

In addition to vibrant oranges, turquoises and greens, palm leaves, flamingos, pineapples and Koi fish grace everything from plates to accent pillows and picture frames. Now I know it may not be easy to commit to a look this bold, but I’m all for incorporating some of  these elements in the form of accent pieces, and I especially love this season’s trend for blue and white and mix and match table wear.

So, if you’re looking to brighten up a room or add a touch of whimsy, adding a few of these lighthearted accents will definitely do the trick.

Take a look for more from ZARA Home’s NEW 2014 Spring/Summer Collection. At minimum it’ll make you forget about the winter blues and think about your next vacation getaway.

I'm Lisa, a real born and bred Torontonian in every sense of the word. I'm a PR practitioner by day with a fabulous client list, at a very cool boutique firm in the core with a view of the city that can make anyone want to move here. I have a mild to moderate hat obsession, and you’ll usually find me searching the city for the next big chef, and rarely without a fashion or décor magazine in my purse. Before PR, I was a travel writer/editor/photographer, and spent most of my time travelling the world and bringing my stories back here. The rest of the time I spent indulging in the city's untapped culinary scene as Post City Magazine's main restaurant photographer. But, no matter where I am in the world, nothing beats coming home. That's why I've spent the last few years planting my roots here, moving from Toronto’s uber-chic west side to the heart of Greek Town in a modern Victorian semi (a.ka. my lifelong décor project), with my husband and super-stylish son. Yes, I'm one of those moms, the one who won't give up her sense of style post-baby bump; and why should I?! I aspire to have my cake and eat it too - I am Italian after all. And, now why my 2-year-old in tow, I can bring him along for the ride.

Is that a banana leaf placement? Kinda genius and I want it!

Right? So nifty! I especially like the floral pillows with the stripe details…and everything else for that matter 🙂
