An Unexpected Match Up: Fashion and Football

The Council of Fashion Designers of America and Bloomingdales have teamed up with the National Football League Foundation in anticipation of Super Bowl XLVIII. With the start of NFL playoffs, the CFDA has announced the collaborative effort.

Various CFDA members have contributed 48 custom football helmet designs, which will be auctioned off with a minimum bid of $248. The bid runs from Jan 15-Feb 4 with all profits going to the NFL Foundation.

The designer Helmets were unveiled on January 15th in the Bloomingdale’s 59th Street window. The auction is taking place online here. Each of these helmets will truly be a one of a kind piece!

The NFL Foundation is a non-profit grants program that supports youth football programs, health and safety efforts, and NFL PLAY 60.
