The Canadian fashion industry announced the nominees for the 2015 Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards (CAFA) this past week at The Spoke Club in Toronto. Among the nominees for Canada’s top fashion honour are international blogger, Tommy Ton, design duo, Greta Constantine, supermodels Heather Marks and Jessica Stam, and designers Chloe and Parris Gordon of Beaufille along with more favourites of ours!

The winners will be selected by the official 2015 CAFA jury panel, which consists of Canadian fashion heavyweights including celebrity stylists Brad Goreski and Leslie Fremar; model Coco Rocha; fashion icon, Jeanne Beker; chief creative officer at ALDO, Douglas Bensadoun; FLARE Magazine editor-in-chief, Cameron Williamson; FASHION Magazine editor-in-chief, Bernadette Morra and more.

Also announced was the creation of The Canadian Fashion Fund. Co-founded by Brittney Kuczynski and Amit Thakar, the fund will target under-funded, high-growth investment opportunities in the Canadian fashion industry.

“Giving designers publicity and recognition is equally as important as giving them the growth capital to compete globally,” said fund founder and CAFA co-founder Kuczynski. “Our long-term goal is to help foster the next generation of Canadian, international designers”

Another new element of the CAFA organization in 2015 is the mentorship program for the Emerging Designer award winners. The program supports the CAFA mission of encouraging economic development and creating a stronger appreciation for Canadian fashion by supporting emerging designers in the development their brands on an international scale.

The 2015 CAFA awards will be held on January 31^st, 2015 at the Fairmont Royal York hotel in Toronto, but for now, take a look at the complete list of nominees below.
