Essence Winter Edition Hand Balm

Essence Winter Edition Hand Balm

I am addicted to hand moisturizers. I usually pick one up every month if not more often. On a recent trip to the drugstore in Germany I got this Essence Winter Edition 24h Hand Protection Balm in Apple Cinnamon Punch. It comes in a flip-top tube that contains 75ml of product for €0,95. As you can see in the photo, there are three different scents but I wasn’t sold on the other two.

The claim: This 24h hand protection balm is an intensive repair care for particularly rough and dry hands. The repair formula with shea butter and coconut oil provides moisture and care and protects your hands from dryness for up to 24 hours. Does not leave an oily residue.

The verdict: What I love most about this cream is the scent. It smells more of apples than cinnamon, but only slightly. It instantly reminds me of the Christmas season, which means I will have to make this product last until December so I can get the full effect. It is quite greasy at first but soaks in quickly. My hands definitely feel moisturized for a few hours after but I wouldn’t say 24 as the package claims. I’m also not a fan of the ackaging simply because it looks cheap and childish. I prefer more elegant containers but then again, for the price I can’t complain.

Overall, I’d recommend this for the scent alone, but it is also a good moisturizer and for such a cheap price you really can’t go wrong.
