Field Trip Music & Arts Festival 2014 + Contest

Field Trip Poster - new artists

Field Trip Music & Arts Festival is back this summer, following a wildly successful inaugural edition, and this year they have expanded cultural offerings, featuring family friendly events and live art installations among many more from Toronto independent music company Arts & Crafts.

Taking place at Fort York & Garrison Common on June 7 and 8, this festival weekend is sure to be tons of fun. With more than 17 food and beverage vendors, an Etsy Marketplace, manicures by Pinky’s Nails and an on-site barber shop by Crow’s Nest, it is the perfect cherry on top to the stellar lineup of musical acts including Interpol, Broken Social Scene, Constantines, Chvrches, A Tribe Called Red, and loads more!

For a more detailed look at the schedule of musical acts, visit here.

“It was always going to be a tough task to match the magic and wonder of our first Field Trip but we’re going for it,” said Jeffrey Remedios, co-founder and president of Arts & Crafts. “Around the festival grounds you’ll find even more awesome creative activities, artist collaborations and bespoke vendors. There’s so much to explore and experience that we couldn’t fit it all in one day, so Field Trip is now a weekend-long celebration of our city, our creative communities, our global spirit and our love of music.”

This year, you can enjoy this years food vendors include Buster’s SeacoveAugie’s Ice PopsThe Good PressGourmet Gringos and Fidel Gastro, to name a few, or spend some time checking out the local artist installations in between performances. Even if you’re in the competitive mood, Ivy Knight from SwallowDaily.com will host fun food and cocktail challenges for Field Trippers of all ages to enjoy. A watermelon eating contest or a corn-on-the-cob eating contest tickle your fancy? We’ll definitely be saving our appetite for that!

Whether you’re in it for the music, food, art or fun and games, there is something everyone in the family can enjoy!
