The Chekhov Collective brings Chekhov’s theatre presentation, The Seagull to Toronto. Taking place at Berkley Street Theatre Upstairs throughout March, this production boasts the implementation of The Chekhov Technique, a unique acting method.

Directed by theatre veteran Peggy Coffey and produced by Rena Polley, the production features a variety of talents who’ve joined the creative team for what is predominantly their premiere theatre production and it also marks the premiere of Canadian fashion label Comrags’ first costume designing project for a theatre production. We are already familiar with the Comgrags brand, but we can’t wait to see what they pull together for the performance!

“Both the pleasure and the challenge of The Seagull have been to design for characters who already have their story, their history and their style.  It’s another layer in the process… to bring Comrags to The Seagull and The Seagull to Comrags.  A process we are enjoying immensely,” reflects Comrags cofounder Judy Cornish.

The Seagull runs at the Berkeley Street Theatre Upstairs from March 7-23, 2014, so make sure you see it while it’s here! Tickets start from only $36 and are on sale now. Head to the Canadian Stage website to purchase tickets.
