GUESS has caught the country bug and has looked no further than the home of the Grand Ole Opry to breathe some new life into their fall collection. The country western style takes on two forms in the collection: the luxurious western and the western sweetheart.

From the luxurious western looks, you can expect rich prints such as python in vests and coats, fun fur vests in a plethora of colours that will make anyone feel like Miss Rayna James (from the show “Nashville”), and the reintroduction of the high neck. Now although we are used to low cut and plunging necklines from GUESS, keeping with the luxurious country theme, it is all about looking sophisticated with a twang of sultry, enter the high neck crop! What do you wear with such a thing? High- waisted jeans of course, which Guess also has in the collection. The one “stop-in-your-tracks” looks from this collection has to be the rhinestone and bling jacket, something tells me Carrie Underwood should rock it on her next tour!

The second leg of the collection brings is country in a softer way: the country sweetheart. Think: perfect for music festivals and casual days when you still want to look adorable. What makes the country sweetheart look? The roses print! Seen on most items from dresses to bustiers, the pieces simply exude that perfect country style. I would pair most of the pieces with a jean jacket or jean vest to complete the look.
