#iheartbosk Media Dinner at Shangri-La Hotel Toronto

Table Setting_02

As I previously mentioned here, I was lucky enough to be invited to join a select number of media/bloggers to attend the #iheartbosk influencer dinner at Bosk, the very luxurious Shangri-La Hotel signature restaurant. At the time, I was thrilled to get the invite, and post-experience, I am so happy that I was able to join such a great group of people for an entertaining evening.

As I first entered Shangri-La Hotel, I was immediately taken back by the upscale, but very comfortable establishment. Once you enter the doors at Shangri-La, you immediately enter another world where every detail is perfectly executed, from the staff in chic blue and white dresses to the acoustic guitar player in the main lobby. You would think that with such an upscale hotel, the staff and people there may seem a little uptight, but I was pleasantly surprised by the kind and gentle employees who greeted us throughout the night. Luxury with a down-to-earth feel? I didn’t think that was possible!

The group was given a tour of their gorgeous Garden Suite as well as an introduction to their lobby along with an overview of the hotel design as we were escorted to the restaurant Bosk for a wine-paired dinner.

The dining experience was like no other. The staff was professional and friendly, with an explanation of each dish coming out by head Chef Damon Campbell. You really get a sense of his passion and respect for culinary arts, and it clearly showed as each dish landed in front of me. As I mentioned, each course was paired with a complimentary wine, provided by Wine Connoisseur Mark Moffatt. Talk about getting the best of the best!

My favourite dishes had to be the Marinated Fluke, Lobster Gnocchi and the Caviar Donut, while I really enjoyed each dish. I was so full by the end of the dinner, I felt like I needed to be rolled out of the hotel or taken out on one of those luggage trolleys.

Needless to say, the night was unforgettable. From the staff, to the food and the table filled with great people, the night was one to remember and I highly recommend taking any chance you have to stay/eat or just relax at Shangri-La in Toronto.

A big thanks goes to Do The Daniel for putting the festivities together, and to Shangri-La for the complimentary fun night. I can’t wait to go back!
