Post Workout Beauty Tips

Nothing is better than that feeling you get when you accomplish a workout, but the worst feeling is when you have somewhere to go after and you look like a drenched rat when you have completed your work out. While we don’t all look like Karlie Kloss after sweating our butts off, we can still look fierce and make it work, regardless of what plans you have after working up a sweat.

From tips on how to tame your hair, to helpful advice on how you can get glam in just a few minutes, below are the tips you need to get you looking and feeling even better after a great workout.

  • No time to do a full hair wash after a workout? Dry shampoo may just become your bff, and Dove makes our favourite kind! 
  • When you have just completed your workout, run your wrists under cold water to cool down your body temperature and eliminate extra perspiration on your scalp
  • Not into heavy makeup post-worktout?  A BB or CC cream instantly neutralizes redness and gives you a slight glow without the thickness of makeup. Don’t forget to add some blush or lipstick too!
  • A braid or pulled back bun may seem simple and boring, but with a fresh face and damp hair, it’s going to make you look sleek and effortless. Trust us! Try a touch of hairspray or gel to keep things smooth and frizz free
  • Skip the drier! If you want your mane dry, let it air dry as you take your time to apply moisturizer, body lotion and your makeup
  • Deodorant is a must (of course), but post-workout apply deodorant lightly on your major sweat gland areas (ie. underarms, neck, chest )
  • If you have to rush out after your workout, just remember these three things: blotting papers, makeup wipes and spf moisturizer
  • Opting to blow dry and style your hair post-workout? To keep from over sweating, add deodorant to the back of your neck. It sounds weird, but it works!
