I don’t know about you, but I’m 100% done with winter. I’m longing for weather warm enough where I can finally put away my boots and slip on some flats. In addition to swapping out boots for shoes, a few other things come to mind when I think about the warmer weather ahead: spring-cleaning and home renovations. I was checking out a few great bloggers over the weekend who have documented all of their home renovation ups and downs, and thought I’d share some of their great ideas and designs with you, along with other helpful resources to help you get Spring ready:

Life Begins at Thirty, Right?

This blog features renovations on a Victorian townhouse built in 1901 in the heart of downtown Toronto. Some of their DIY projects include using painter’s tape to layout paneling and paint designs, updating a fireplace with modern tiles and paint colours and building an outdoor sectional bench. All great project ideas to take on this spring.

Featuring renovations from start to finish, this blog shows how a little TLC can go a long way in helping revive any home. Here you can find lots of space saving ideas, such as sliding French doors and built in closets that maximize the use of space.  What I really love is the backyard. It’s simple design is classic and super low maintenance, AND there’s no lawn to mow! The shed at the back of the yard is painted in classic colours and serves as a great little escape with additional storage.
