The Hacienda Hilton Puerto Vallarta

It has been far too long since my trip to Mexico, but after getting so many messages about details, where i stayed and all that jazz, I figured that I would ever so briefly breeze through our trip and what we loved the most about staying at The Hacienda Hilton in Puerto Vallarta.

The Grounds

We opted for a more intimate location for our vacstion, so we were so excited to see that The Hacienda (while isn’t exactly small) it’s most definitely on the intimate side as we stayed on the Adult side of the resort. The grounds were absolutely breathtaking and they were incredibly well kept. The large adult pool was where we spent most of our days as it sat in the centre of the grounds surrounded by loads of greenery that made me want to bring my garden sheers and bring all the exotic plants home with me.

While the greenery surrounding the resort was beautiful, the subtle and yet intricate details of the decor both indoors and outdoors was my favourite. Loads of tiles covered the walls and floors while the dining rooms where we had our meals were absolutely stunning.

The staff was also something to note. They were not just helpful and kind, but just the sweetest and it was them who made our trip!

The Room

The room happened to be one of our favourite parts about The Hacienda Hilton and though while on vacation, you don’t spend much time in your room, we made it a point to have some designated time in our room to either soak in the tub or lay and watch some TV late at night.

The room seemed to be designed by instagrammers because everything was so picturesque and Instagram-worthy with its vibrant blue wallpaper and tiled walls in the bathroom. Not to mention the balcony offered a perfect view of the grounds. The room also featured loads of storage for your travel essentials and made everything clean and organized!

Oh yeah, the fully-stocked fridge also didn’t hurt either!

The Food

How does one go on vacation and not indulge just a little? The Food at The Hacienda Hilton was surprisingly amazing. I have NEVER had such delicious food while on a resort, so needless to say I was a happy girl with her belly full this trip. Aside from the standard lunch buffet which was awful – yes, awful, every other meal we ate at this spot was AMAZING!

The Mexican breakfast buffet was actually our fondest memory of the trip because we had a waitress “Nelly” that greeted us each morning at the restaurant and it really was the cherry to our sundae on our trip. The Mexican breakfast featured a mix of American and Mexican style foods from french toast to breakfast nachos and everything in between.

Aside from the Mexican breakfast buffet, the restaurants also tickled our food fancy as we got the chance to enjoy an Italian, Brazilian and Mexican dinner during our stay. The food was just as delicious as the staff was accommodating and each meal included a signature drink, which was a nice touch. Each night we stumbled back to our rooms after the big meals and it was the best way to end each evening during our stay.
