Valentino Couture Spring 2014: A Night at the Opera

Valentino Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli have sent down one of the most ethereal yet wearable Couture collections seen on the runways during Couture week. The collection is said to be inspired by the opera, as evident from the very first look, which featured music notes printed on a tulle gown.

The collection comprised of mostly tulle dresses, some ballgown and ballerina silhouettes with intricate patterns as well as coats and long dresses with minimal design qualities that could easily change from day to night.

The collection is surely a stylist’s dream and would be more than appropriate for the red carpet of this award season.

UPDATE: Katy Perry wore the first and third looks at the Grammy Awards Sunday evening.
