Eat a balanced diet (or at least indulge in moderation), stay active, drink plenty of water and most importantly get enough “quality” sleep. Simple right?

Even if you promptly put yourself to bed every night by 10PM, what many don’t realize is that your space and bedding may be negatively affecting your quality of sleep.

So when Dormeo Canada asked Girls of T.O. to jump into bed with them 😉 and spread the word about their NEW Octaspring 9500 mattress coming to Canada this fall that directly supports good sleep, I couldn’t have been more excited.

Every girl needs her beauty sleep right?!

Bed with Cut Away
Overheating is one of the biggest frustrations for poor quality sleepers, and Dormeo’s Octaspring mattresses are nine times more breathable than traditional memory foam, making night sweats a thing of the past.

Trust me, investing in a good quality mattress may make all the difference between you waking up cranky and feeling like every morning is a Monday, or being ready to conquer the day refreshed from a great night’s sleep.

To help Canadians sleep better, Dormeo has announced their “Style Your Summer Bedroom Pinterest Contest,” which runs from August 15- 31, 2014.

The contest will coincide with the Canadian launch of Dormeo’s new 9500 mattress, but the best part, the winner will be judged by three participating home, decor and lifestyle bloggers – Myself , Gracie Carroll and Renee Elliott – along with Dormeo team.

Each participant will be judged on the presentation and design of their board, and the winner will receive a $250 gift card to HomeSense and a set of Dormeo Octaspring Evolution Plus Pillows valued at $300, $150 each.

I'm Lisa, a real born and bred Torontonian in every sense of the word. I'm a PR practitioner by day with a fabulous client list, at a very cool boutique firm in the core with a view of the city that can make anyone want to move here. I have a mild to moderate hat obsession, and you’ll usually find me searching the city for the next big chef, and rarely without a fashion or décor magazine in my purse. Before PR, I was a travel writer/editor/photographer, and spent most of my time travelling the world and bringing my stories back here. The rest of the time I spent indulging in the city's untapped culinary scene as Post City Magazine's main restaurant photographer. But, no matter where I am in the world, nothing beats coming home. That's why I've spent the last few years planting my roots here, moving from Toronto’s uber-chic west side to the heart of Greek Town in a modern Victorian semi (a.ka. my lifelong décor project), with my husband and super-stylish son. Yes, I'm one of those moms, the one who won't give up her sense of style post-baby bump; and why should I?! I aspire to have my cake and eat it too - I am Italian after all. And, now why my 2-year-old in tow, I can bring him along for the ride.
